L.D.Coykendall

I am a Painter who was trained at Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia, Pa. and Rome, Italy. My graduate work was in Expressive Therapies in Cambridge, Ma.

In my artwork I am intrigued by the push and pull between objective representation and abstract expression of emotional content. I am searching for moments when they gel into something dynamic.

My most recent work, completed in 2022 and early 2023, includes paintings inspired by some of the experiences I have had as an Art and Play therapist, and as a mother, in the aftermath of the Covid 19 pandemic.
